Security deposit
When you pick up your car, the car rental station will place a hold of funds for the excess amount on the main driver's Credit Card (Not Debit) as a deposit in case of damage. This hold is not a physical transaction and will be removed when the car is returned with no new damage, but the amount could take a few days to be available in your account. Depending on the country, some rental stations may accept Debit Cards for the security deposit. It's essential to highlight that if you opt for an alternative method of the security deposit such as payment via a Debit Card, the refund must be processed at the time of vehicle return.
